Brenda Salinas is a regio-montana by birth, tejana by choice. She is a radio and social media producer with NPR’s Latino USA. Before coming on board with the LUSA team, she was awarded the highly competitive Kroc Fellowship at NPR.
She has reported pieces for Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Weekend Edition, Weekends on All Things Considered and for Houston Public Radio. In college, she started her campus’ only student run foreign-language publication, Nuestras Voces, a bimonthly bulletin designed inform Spanish-speaking staff and community members.
Brenda has a B.A. in Economics with a concentration in French and Francophone Studies from Columbia University.
